Microsoft Word Merge program

We would be interested in a program that easily merges several Word doc files into 1 file. The program would allow us to place the merged documents into strict sequence.

I have looked over the Internet and I am unable to find a solution. Additionally, the Word merge feature pretty much sucks since it doesn't leave the formatting alone.

We don't have any programs at this time that would do that, however, we could certainly custom write an application to do it if you're interested.
