File Name Properties

This area of the manual will explain the Functions of the File Name Properties area. This is the most commonly used area of File Renamer and will handle the majority of your File Renaming needs.

While this can look confusing at first, it's designed to be easy to follow, everything displayed is displayed in the order it will be used.

You can turn off each part by unchecking the Include checkbox that goes with each section.

In the picture above, there are four parts that will be included, the Filename, Separator, Unique Parameter, and the Extension (you can verify that by looking at the Include checkboxes, those are the only four sections that have the Include checked).

So, as you can see in the Sample File Name, it would look something like filename-0001.abc
