The Random option can be used for many purposes,
we'll talk about the most popular. Note: The Random option can only be
used if the Number option is selected, it is not available if
Letters or Dates is selected as the Random
item. Example 1 If you want to create a music CD (either MP3 or
regular music CD), and you want the songs to be in random order, you can first
rename the files making sure to select the Place Unique Parameter before
Filename in the Filename box. Then, use the
Random option in the Unique Parameter area and
select your Start From and Random to. For
instance, if you had 15 songs, you could set your Start From to
be 1 and your Random to to be
15. Then click Preview and you will see the new
numbers being placed in front of your filename. Now you can create a music CD
with those filenames and they will be random Example 2 If you wanted to create a sample CD or even multiple
CDs, you could rename your entire music collection (don't worry, it's extremely easy to revert your files
back) with random numbers and choose blocks of songs to create CDs with. For
instance, let's assume you had 5,000 songs, you could put a random number in
front of all of them, then in Windows Explorer, or whatever
program you use to view your files, when you sort by Filename, you will see your
music files in random order i.e. So, what was would turn into which would then sort as Sample Screenshots
