A web database can be one of the most powerful tools you have at your company. There are so many applications for a web accessable database we couldn't even begin to list them all. Almost every industry could use some form of a web database.

Nashville Metro Public Schools Technology Services, which repairs the computers used in the Nashville Public School System, contacted us about wanting the ability for teachers to check the status, of their computers waiting for repairs, online. Before they had us create this web database for them they manually wrote out the description of the problem for each computer and who it belonged to. Now when a teacher brings a computer in for service they sit at a terminal and type out the problem as best they can with their school name and phone number. A receipt and a claim number is printed for their records along with a web address where they can check back at any time to see the progress for their machine. This solved several problems for the Metro Technology department. First it gave a receipt to the teacher, it also created a place to store electronically what they had done to each computer, gave a way for teachers to check themselves about the status of a computer rather than call the office, and kept a log of which computers were completed, ready to pick up, already picked up, and waiting to be repaired which was all accessable from one web page.
